Sharmin Kabir, founder of Ritu, has been working since 2016 to help Bangladeshi adolescent girls grow up with confidence. She created comic books and designed workshops to make conversations about puberty and menstruation easier at home and in schools. Through Ritu, she has built a network of over 150,000 girls and more than 1,000 young trainers, most of whom she personally trained. Sharmin is committed to ensuring that every girl receives the right knowledge about puberty and menstruation to contribute to a healthier, stronger society.
